Scania is an extraordinary brand. It’s so much more than it’s great products. They have hardly ever fired employees. They have fans (costumers) that adorn their skin with the griffin. They have technical solutions that make other truck manufacturers cry themselves to sleep. We wanted to show how that was possible. The quest began by asking the community to share their stories.

With the success of 2015 storytelling concept in fresh memory we grabbed an even greater challenge by the horn. It was time to dig deeper and tell the story of Scania’s first 125 years as a company. Again we looked for stories all over the world, past and present.
THE ANNIVERSARY
2018
A Scania belongs on the road. Delivering goods from A to B. After telling the story of Scania deep and wide it was time to get behind the wheel and just go. In the digital part of the concept this meant introducing something brand new to Scania’s Facebook followers. We created an interactive game using Facebook Live, that let fans guess in real-time where a truck was headed. Six films, in six countries, over six weeks had hundreds of guesses from fans all over the world, and an engagement rate 225% higher than the Scania average.

2019
2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Scania V8 engine. This powerful industrial gigant is a true hero among all members of the Scania family, from employees, to customers and fans. Since this “power plant” is truly built to handle a challenge we wanted to showcase that in a clear visual way. Badge of honor
As a part of this project we also designed the mark to be used throughout the anniversary. To honor this engines great heritage we based it on the original V8 badge from 1969.
